This past DE event we had a fellow show up with a 911 that had all the GT2
nomenclature inside and outside of the car. We quickly realized it was a Turbo. Why would someone go through the expense and hassle of changing the nomenclature? Possibly to impress people?

I don't really care if a car is a GT3 or GT2, but I do like the appearance of its accents. Nothing more...nothing less. As for the...nomenclature, I'd assume some people are "embarrassed" to not have the most expensive model made so they strip badges off or add others. I have a 7 series bimmer and I see this a lot with the bmw's on the road. It's stupid. No one cares either. Convincing these people that the car WILL get old...and that badge WILL get outdated in a few years, as all models do, is about as affective as chewing on rocks.
