A lot of horror stories from others. My experience is a walk in the park in comparison.

I would not be a happy camper having to pay a $1,500 tow bill.

Luckily, Porsche (1800Porsche) will tow me from my home in Green Valley to the dealership, Gaudin Porsche.

After reading everyone's stories, I now consider myself luckier than I knew.

UPS is saying my tires will be here tomorrow, and I have already made an appointment with Porsche for the following day.

Default Is the flat caused pot hole or unheaved city street?

File a claim at the city hall where the flat occurs! It just happened to me too. I warned the city about it. Sure enough it happed!!! Pinched on the sidewall and the rim. Friend within the city said "File a Claim". $500 is no chump changes!! Make sure you have pictures of damaged tire, general area of occurance. The specific spot if available. City will pay.

Same thing with the rim! It's not a natural event. City have to maintain safe street to drive on. First time I forgave them. This time I'm want compensation!!! I will ask for compensation for time lost from work to take care their problems..

As was mentioned, relying on cell service is, strangely enough, getting harder over time.. not easier.

With the providers switching to all digital service in order to provide a slew of features to the 10-35 year old crowd, they have cut out the basic 'ability to make a phone call' by removing the analog service that has such a wider range of coverage. Now there are huge gaps in the national coverage map all over the place, especially out west. Similar to Nevada, Idaho also has huge issues with respect to coverage. I guess I need to carry that battery powered handheld CB radio just in case.

If this little car has room for a spare tire...why not Porsche?

The 996's had a spare. They did away with it in the 997 in favor of a can of goo and air compressor. Costs probably.

Beware of the $50 nitrogen fill at Gaudin

What a timely warning. Paul gave me the song and dance about nitrogen yesterday when I made my appointment.

I am going to say "no" to him, but they must be pushing that nitro to everybody.

I called him a few weeks ago and asked him some questions about the TPMS and he was pushing the nitro.

Well sure - if you can sell "air" - what a boon! Nuts! Just like that $100/ft speaker wire.

Carry a spare unless you don't mind having your whole day messed up!

When I got my last set of tires he casually mentioned it to me and I said OK. Didn't realize there was a charge until I looked over the bill later. Save the $$$ and lets have drink.

Tow truck on its way. Then onto the flatbed with my P-Car and new tires and off to Gaudin.

There's a really good breakfast place nearby, so I'll have breakfast as they are doing the tires. Cool.

Um, because the Issetta's spare can fit under the seat?
