Current deals on 09 C4S Coupe "launch" cars
Anyone where the market is right now on a new 09 C4S coupe "launch" car with the sport bucket seats? These are ~$112K MSRP.
I did a search on this and all of the posts are from a few months ago. I'm in New England and a quick scan of dealer inventories across New England, NY/NJ suggests there are as many as 20 cars out there. Some dealers still have 2 or oven 3 in inventory.
Why so many of these sitting unsold? Is it the Sport Bucket Seats?
Would appreciate any current guidance on pricing for these as I'm seriously considering buying one of these soon.
Thanks!

Could be the buckets. I think Porsche over estimated how many track nuts are out there.
My dealer told me he would do mid 90's in July. I dont know current deals.

Isn't that the car that has PDK but no Sport Chrono? That's an even more regrettable configuration and impossible to fix down the road (unlike the seats).
Edit: if you buy the car and hate the seats, I'll bet you could sell them on the forums and replace with regular seats from Suncoast and maybe even turn a profit on the exchange.

I'm fairly certain the launch car includes Sport Chrono Plus. Here is the configuration I have seen for these cars:
Meteor Grey
Black Full Leather
030 - PASM Sports Suspension
P03 - Sport Bucket Seats
672 - Navigation Module for PCM
686 - XM Radio
640 - Sport Chrono Package Plus
810 - Floor Mats in Interior Color
680 - Bose High End Sound Package
250 - Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
619 - Bluetooth Phone Interface
870 - Universal Audio Interface
267 - Self Dimming Mirrors
What's strange is the same configuration sometimes shows an MSRP of $111,185 and at other times $112,085 on different dealer websites. Some dealers even have two cars with one at each price. Still trying to figure that one out.
I agree...the black sport bucket seats could probably be sold without too much difficulty if they were really an issue. I'm fine with them...I'm just trying to figure out if they present an issue if using a child seat in the rear seats (per my other post).

Slightly OT but when I was shopping for my p-car there were two C4S at the dealer and I thought I could bargain with those but those were with the sport buckets. Still sitting there. The sport buckets are not moving well in So. CA.

I am seeing some really aggressive pricing on MY09, but I am looking at Base Cabs. I think they are trying to get rid of their stock. New MY10 coming in Nov.

Now is a great time to deal. The MY10 cars are being held at the ports to help the dealerships move the MY09 cars out for the most part, without competition from within with a bunch of MY10 cars showing up.

My dealer has found me a car that appears to be a launch car but it has the power comfort seats and not the sport buckets. However, it appears that the Universal Audio Interface (iPod etc.) option is missing. Can this be dealer retrofitted? I would want the original Porsche hookup and not a 3rd party iPod hookup (i.e. Dension etc.)
Still debating on the seats. I know my wife prefers the comfort seats but I'd rather get the sport buckets and then retrofit the sport seats in leather later on if it really is an issue. I won't have any trouble selling a new pair of Sport Buckets in black leather.

It is the Sport Bucket Seat option that is holding these cars back from being sold!
These seats do not appeal to the majority of buyers as they are not the easiest for entry and exit.
A colossal mistake on PAG's part to configure launch cars with them.
You can switch out the seats for regular seats with no heating or electric adj as the wiring for the backrest is present if you choose.
Great deals can be had on this car!!

There is no question that the sport bucket seats are holding back the cars. We sold all of the ones we had with SB seats but there are a lot out thee. IPOD integration is an option that the dealer can install it should not cost you more than 870 bucks. Let me know if you need help finding a dealer with a car, as a dealer I can access the entire nation wide inventory for you.
