Does anyone use the vinyl/plastic door edge moldings that are readily available at auto stores like PepBoys on their 997? I keep scraping the edge of my door and checked with my Porsche Dealer's Parts Dept to see if they stocked any type of door guard, but they don't. A friend just recommended I spend $5 on a set of clear u-shaped "Style Guard" door edge moldings from PepBoys but I'm worried that the self adhesive in them will ruin the paint? Am I being overly neurotic? Does anyone have any experience with these at all?
Thanks,
Dave

The guy that did my Speed Film did the door edges too. Seems to be a decent solution for the minor trangression.

My clear bra installer put thin strips around the door edges and they are very hard to see but work for the rare tap on the car next door (usually in my garage!). They are less than 1/4 inch on the door surface and about the same on the inside.

Do you get a free set of rear view mirror "hanging dice" with every purchase?....![nono](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/nono.gif)
You are definitely being neurotic...just watch how you open your own doors....really not that hard to NOT hit anything.
