i think mine is a keeper for now. the only reason for me to change is I would get bored with the color. yes, color.. I have atlas gray and I love it, but the guards red is calling me...maybe when I turn 50!!! (got a while) and I love the cab, but a coupe is not out of the question or a targa! It's not even a HP/power thing...just the color for me. I know that is silly!

I was thinking the same thing before I scrolled down and saw your post. I think it just might be the *perfect* blue.

I plan on keeping my 06 C2S for at least another 4-6 years. It's a classic that keeps on getting better. That's not to say my pulse didn't increase when opening the new GT3 "gift" box from Porsche last night...I'll look at the menu but won't be ordering anytime soon.

I consider my 997.1 to be a keeper and can't see trading it for a 997.2. Maybe the next gen 911 at some point in the distant future, but maybe not. Porsche seems to be getting more and more high tech, perhaps more than I'd like.

Curious if others also feel their 997 is a keeper?
Why the implied assumption that you have to sell your current Porsche to acquire a newer one.

I got my first Porsche at 26 years old - a 944 Turbo that was 4 years old....traded to a five year old 1990 C4, then traded to my first new C4S in 1997 - that I (still regret) traded for a 1999 C2 Cab with an aero kit. Had that C2 for ten years along with a Cayenne S that I traded for Cayenne Turbo six months after I took delivery of the S. The Cayenne Turbo I owned for four years. Just put a deposit on a 2010 TT cab with PDK due to arrive in February.

A long winded story to say I have been working to the 911 TT which I think - for me - will be a twenty year car...(I think) but man I love these cars....

It's a keeper. For now.
I always buy a car saying I'm keepng it for ten years. Longest I've made it is three. But this car was so expensive and is so awesome, we'll see. Plus, I just bought a lake house and I'm gonna need a boat and gonna need to sell the other house before I get a boat, so yeah, it's a keeper. For now.

It's not a daily driver.
Me three. Just bought a 09 Civic Coupe from "Mr. Opportunity" ($100 over invoice! w00t!) as a daily driver to preserve my 08 C2S as looooong as I can.
