Offset around 50F, 55-65R depending on width. Same as narrow body 964s and 996s
For manufacturers using a real Fuchs center screwed or welded to spun barrels, it would need a spacer to clear the brakes axially, so the center would have to move too far outboard to attach to the barrel. Plus the real Fuchs center looks too small on 17s much less 18s.
For Rota/Fox, making wheels with late offsets just wasn't a priority. I'm not sure they've even gotten around to early turbo fitment yet.

Both offsets you have listed are possible, with the extra pad length I have worked into the new wheel and the larger center diameter we should be okay. The idea is to custom order the wheel in the offset you need so that you do not have to run a wheel spacer. What would you be interested in 17" or 18" and what widths fit best?

That's why our deep 17 (shown in attachment) closely resembles the original 15x11 it is next to - careful consideration of proportions.
The classic 'Fuchs windmill' look is extremely important, but so is strength and quality. Modular construction is a way to achieve this in smaller run offerings (like to our market) withOUT having to charge a premium over the market rate for the product. Consider that - correct proportions, less weight, high quality, and smaller market, and yet the pricing is in line with Fikse/BBS, etc.
It's a good time to have an air-cooled 911~! (soon I'll be able to say the same about the waterpumpers as well, as our 18" center is finalized)

Just an update for the forum on the Fuchs USA developments. They expect to be first available in March 2010. I have seen their engineering drawings of the 19s and they are properly proportioned. Their widest 19 at present is going to be 12 inches,--same as on the GT3.

Keith you totally misunderstood what I said. I was trying to explain that your wheel or Jeffs wheel, who's ever wheel it is now, is based on a later looking original Fuchs 15" wheel. My wheels are based on an early looking 15X5.5" Fuchs wheel, I never said you were building 17" rims using 16" centers.
Its evident that you have spent extensive time on making the proportions of your wheels correct. Months of design were spent on making my 17" forged wheels correct also.
Luckily we both offer two different 17" variations, early and late.
So far my wheels are doing very well and have been selling to different parts of the world.

I think Iozzio's wheels will be quite popular with a certain crowd. The early Fuchs windmills aren't as attractive to me on the later Porsches--but they are terrific on the VDubs!
The Fuchs USA guys have spent literally years developing their one-piece forged rims. They will not be inexpensive, and they will be manufactured to the highest standards available today.

How about weight ?
