I'll try and get some weight numbers out of them. As they probably have nothing produced quite yet, the only estimate on the weight would be from the design CAD program--plugging aluminum in as the material. Perhaps not precise.

Let's just hope they are not heavier than the stock wheels...

Will they look the same as the wheels on the Sport Classic ?

I've been reviewing the CAD/CAM files and they are well proportioned, and look very much like the Fuchs found on the 911 SC (Sport Classic) cars. It's my understanding that the 911 SC wheels (German Fuchs) will become available some day for the rest of the 997 owners. However, I suspect they will be quite pricey.

The Fuchs USA wheels will no doubt come in for less, but I have not heard any pricing information as of yet, much less dimensions and offsets. The only dimension I know (and have seen) is the 12 x 19 which is also the widest Porsche offers for the narrow body GT3.

If they are like the new SC, then perfect:

I can't say that I like the size of the petals on this 17 in wheel. I suggest you post this sort of thing in the 964, 993 forums. The 997 forum is mostly interested in 19s, 20s, and occasionally 18s. Most of the brakes on 997s are too large for any 17 inch wheel.

Didn't we see this before Iozzio? I assume this is now your latest offering in 18 inch. Can you show us some pictures on a suitable car? (The closeup may not be doing it justice).

By the way, I have seen the latest offering from Fuchs Racing--in a 19, and it looks like they got the dimensions right. I hope to be able to post a photo very soon. The question of weight also came up a few postings back. I'm happy to say that the Fuchs Racing wheels are coming in significantly below the weight (obviously) of the cast Sport Classic wheels and are even lighter than the offerings from Otto Fuchs in Germany.

Aren't the stock 18" wheels on a c2s 8.5 and 10" wide?

Iozzio, do you have a 10" wide?

I have said from the very beginning that these are forged two piece. If you still feel these are not a forged wheel please feel free to call Dave at Schott Wheels and discuss it with him. He and Mike have been in the wheel business for 20 years. These are also based on an early 15" original not a later 16" with a stepped lip. Of course the 17" center is going to look strange to most people because it is so much larger than the look of an original 15" single lipped wheel

Bottom line I am trying to build a highend, custom, early looking, Fuchs style wheel that is affordable. I would like to see you compare apples to apples and compare it to another forged, two piece, "early" Fuchs style 17" rim for around $550. If you find one fitting all of those points let me know. Thanks again I do appreciate the good feedback so far.
I have no affiliation with Iozzio at all,
I own a set of 17x8 17x10 Iozzio FUCH wheels. Best looking 17" Fuchs out there, I've posted pictures on the 944 wheel pics forum. Page 16. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else for them.
If you are a hater then grow up, or just simply man up and buy a set. All these ridiculous remarks and questions LOL,. Some people are just to cheap in life and would rather talk/hate on them then enjoy the real deal of a wheel.
Have fun wishing you had my set of wheels.
