Cool I am so glad I bought a 997

I cannot stop staring/studying/lusting after it.

My heart strings are always tugged by 911s. I never thought I would desire another car like I did my 993 other than maybe a classic 60s-70s 911. But the 997 has such a gorgeous shape combined with great daily manners with that Porsche tactile dynamics.

I love it. That is all.

I don't think you're alone.

The 997 is a gorgeous vehicle.

I've had quite a few....84 944, 91 964 C2, 99 996 C2, 04 996 Tiptronic/Cab, 06 Cayman S, 07 997 4S Cab.....and now white with sand biege leather 09 997 S PDK SC Nav......the latest is definitely the best to me ......I have never had so much fun driving a car.....the PDK is unbelievable....Sport mode reminds so much of a manual without any effort to "get the shift right"......I always felt that the front end had a light feel in any other 911 that I have owned.....not in this 997 as the front end feels rock solid with no more instability when cornering and accelerating....the mufflers sound the best for a stock set up that I have driven.....Again I too am glad that I purchased this 997......

I just took the 997.2 S 6 speed manual for a quick errand to the local hardware store. I just broke the car in (now with 2300 miles) and just started to experience WOT. Wow. What an experience. It just feels ~~~so good. I share your joy.

Another great thing, besides all the amazing driving dynamics mentioned above, is when you look through the side view mirrors and see the beautiful curve of the rear fenders! It is like a reminder that you are driving a very special vehicle. I just have to remember to not look for too long, or I may be heading for an accident!
Sometimes, it is just the little things....

I agree with everything else in this thread -- but if you can see your fenders in the side mirrors then you need to adjust them.

Ok, you're a good one to ask the question: How are you liking the PDK now after the novelty has worn off? Are you able to separate from "I like it becasue I own it"? I like to ask, "if this car was stolen would you replace it with another PDK"?
