Default Anyone interested in a SmartTop?

I'm trading in my 997 Cab for a non-cab (Houston's a lot less convertible-friendly than Austin was). If anyone's interested I'd be happy to remove the SmartTop before I trade it in. This thing really is a must-have addon for any porsche cab. $200 sound fair? I just looked and they're $499 new.

If you don't have one in your 997 cab you need one.

PM me if SY doesn't need it. It would be a nice addition to the cab.

Houston is 1,000 degrees 6 months out of the year and 100% humidity. Austin is only 700 degrees 6 months out of the year and 60% humidity. I think that is what Nugget is referring to.....

Can't be hotter than a string of 67 days @ 100+, can it?

I'm guessing he misses the weekend "hill country" rides. [

ATX has it exactly. It's the humidity here that kills, not just the heat. Even though Austin has equivalent temps the humidity is much, much lower. I can drive with the top down here but it ruins my clothes, I sweat like a water spigot, and I can't go anywhere after if I need to look presentable.

SmartTop goes to SY, 'cause he responded the fastest. I'll be pulling it out of the car today in anticipation of trading it in tomorrow. Then I'll be Porsche-less until Friday when I pick up the new (to me) car. Details in a subsequent post...

Great price, I love mine, but would love it more for that price. You'll sell it quick.

For others, occasionally the SmartTop guys run a group buy if there is enough interest to generate about ten sales or more.

Edgy01 how would one get a group buy going? Not sure there are ten based on this tread but maybe...

If anyone's curious, here's why I don't have the cabriolet any more.
