Default Ventilated Seats - love them.

Now that the heat is on and I've had a chance to try them, I can say, the verdict is in... I love them.

Was driving home the other day in the 87 degree sun with the windows down and the top retracted and remembered... hey, I've got these seats and turned on the ventilation. SWEET. My backside and back quickly felt a great deal cooler. Very nice.

I would recommend seat ventilation for those that like to drive with the AC off.

i agree - its an option you normally think frivilous until you use it My biggest problem is remembering that the car has it. Another coupe bonus is it helps rekindle the new car smell each time you turn it on

+1. 20 years ago when I owned my Bugeye Sprite which didn't even have wind down windows I wouldn't have dreamed I would ever own a car that added weight to have power and heated, forget ventilated, seats. But I'll admit I'm softer now and agree its really nice to have when the sun is beating down. I now actually miss the ventilation when I'm in our other cars.

I hate to say it this way, but my wife has reached that point in life when the hot flashes hit. In our other vehicles, she turns the AC down to Arctic. My hands freeze to the steering wheel. In the Porsche, she can be comfortable and so can I. The seat ventilation option does help a lot, so it's a winner for us as well.

Yeah I wish the ventilated seats had been available when I got my '08 997. I have them in my Expedition and they're great in hot weather.

I rented an SUV with ventilated seats. I wish all my seats were ventilated now.

If it would stop raining in Massachusetts I might be able use my damn CAB, and try out my ventilated seats. I have a road trip planned next weekend, assuming the weather is good. I look forward to to major ventilation all around me.

Yep, love them - had them in my 550i and now they seem essential - especially in GA, plus I think they look great.

What they said. Love them.

Minor niggle- A bit loud when on the highest of the three settings though. A lot of air being moved I guess. Also the perforated leather (necessary for the option to work) looks awesome.

Glad I got them.

My 2 cents... I never understood why anyone would need heated seats. I have had them in most of my cars and rarely if ever use them, even in -22 F temps.... you just do not need them after being in the seat for 5 minutes. In fact, even in a cab in the fall, the one place I do not need heat...it's the back and butt.

Ventilated seats make 1000 times more sense.

Are the seats actually cooled with air from AC, or just ventilated with fan?
