Keep your '05, but leave the door open on the '09 for $10K out of pocket if the dealer really wants to sell it. This is a buyers market like no other, you can demand whatever you want.
rijo, you can keep going round and round like this forever. Get the car that you really want...be done with it and enjoy other things in life....OK? Cool? You are fretting over nothing my friend...you've got watches worth more than this car...stop sweating it and go get the car you want to drive now. In a few years they all with be "old" as you call them...but there is nothing wrong with older Porsches.
For me...I am very happy with the looks and performance of my 09 Carrera S. I LOVE the PDK for me and the car is very fast at the track. I can honestly say I will stay in this car for another 4-5 years unless 2 things happen:
1- I sell my 38 Fountain
2- GT3 comes out with PDK....but I have sell the boat 1st.
It will tkae this type of jump in performance to make me budge to buy another new Porsche.
I agree with Ken....my next car going to be a carrera white cab with all black wheels (no stainless lip). As for watches, I am sticking with my two panerai's for now...under $10K apiece and great watches. I have two toddlers, so my wife would kill me if I dropped $50K on a watch...love an AP someday tho!
