Purchase my 2009 997.2S in March with a window sticker of $98,540 for $84,500. I got shortchanged on my trade for about $2000-$2500 so factor that in (but figure around 12%-13% discount. My car was well equipped 911S in Midnight Blue with Sand Beige Interior. 6-Speed Manual / Comfort Seats / Self Dimming Mirrors / Heated Seats / Wheel Caps with Colored Crest / Dynamic Cornering Lights / Bluetooth / Sport Chrono Package / Navigation / Bose /XM / Floor Mats / Universal Audio. Hope this helps.

today my friend bought a 123k c4scab for 88, found a c2 86k sticker for 64, and a 99k C2S for 77, a 117k C4Scoupe for 88,
makes me want a 997.2 but im debating whats really better since im for sure going to order a 991coupe...
another thought i keep having is if im ready to dump 70 into an 09 coupe.. why not dump a little more and get a turbo coupe.

sorry if confusing.. i have been shopping for 09 coupes... so i figured... if im willing to spend 70 on an 09 coupe... why not just spend a little more and get an 08 turbo... we love the 09 coupes cause the facelift.. whereas the turbo's are all the same.. so wouldnt be like downgrading.. the 09 is already a year old.. so the turbo is only 2 years old.. and sexier for sure.

I would not buy the Turbo...
Had the chance to attend a Porsche event this past weekend and test drive some cars
While in this event I did not test drive a Turbo (but I did before), I had the chance to drive C4 and C2S of the 997.2 series
IMHO, these cars offer a much more rewarding driving experience than the Turbo, due to the linear power delivery and the sound
The Turbo feels soft, too quiet and the engine like an on/off switch due to the boost nature
I am pretty amazed at the 997.2 cars !

I was going to buy a Turbo also but after the C2S test drive I put the Turbo out of the equation.
I have owned a turbo before. And I have driven every one since the 993.
The C2S was just amazing.

You folks are probably aware that there is a Porsche factory rebate in effect right now, in addition to the dealer's discount. Deals are very aggressive.

George, would you have more info on the factory rebate and know if it would apply to a 2010 order? A friend is about to pull the trigger on a 2010 M3 order and I've been trying to convince him to go with a 997. Thanks.
