Also, make sure you DON'T use a cream leather conditioner on the ventilated seats. It will take forever to get the excess conditioner out ot the holes. My wife had a MB CLK with ventilated seats and I made that mistake.... ONCE!

absolutely from going topless! (not me, the car) I use mine all the time, too!
Tim,
I am using Einsett leather stuff on the seats. Hopefully, no excess left in the holes. i am going to do a full detail on Saturday. I'll post some pics.

My understanding is that there is about 12% markup on Porsches, and additional $10k to dealer from Porsche? Is this correct - so on a $100K car, they have $22K to play with?

The 10k is getting tighter and tighter there are catches on the dealer getting the 10k as I outlined earlier. There are not a whole lot of desirable cars left at port for the dealers to take in order to get that 10k. A lot of dealers are on floor plan hold and cant take another car and of course some dealers flat out dont want to take any more inventory.

Whoever chose the configurations of all the leftover 09 cars sitting on dealer's lots needs some kind of wake up call. I must have looked through 300 cars with a friend trying to find a good car, he said he'd rather order at 10-12% off than take any 09 out there even at 30% off. I know everyone likes different things, but I have to agree, I couldn't believe all the odd color combinations and poorly executed specs. I wouldn't be surprised if half of these 09s are still sitting this time next year, it's easy to believe some dealers would be hesitant to take more of the same from port.

I can assure you 1/2 of them wont still be there and I would be shocked if someone would sell you a future 2010 at 10 to 12% off right now. Whats out there is not that bad what exactly do you need I could do a search for you.

I was looking into buying a 997.2 and I am trying to see what discount...
is available.
Do you think that if I were looking at a C2S for 107K I could get the car for 87K - 10K on the addtional holdback is unreasonable?
I figured this number based on 20% off MSRP and the 10K incentive.
If I can find a deal and a triple black 6 speed manual with a few needed option such as Navigation, Bluetooth Phone Interface, Bose High End Sound Package, Floor Mats In Interior Color, Front Seats Multi Stage Heating System, Power Comfort Seats W/Driver Memory, Dynamic cornering lights, Seat Ventilation, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Universal Audio Interface, Wheel Caps W/Full-Color Porsche Crest, Wheels: 19' Carrera S II.
I would appreciate some feesback if I am close or not.

The margin is around 12% depending on options and then the $$$ back. $87k would be a smokin' deal, not impossible, but the dealer wouldn't make anything. With the 2010 coming we are getting anxious to move the rest of MY09 inventory.
