Default Lost all power on the highway

Was on the turnpike in a carrera I just purchased for my wife. CPO'ed with 30K miles. We have drove it about 300 miles on it so far.

Going 70-75 and heard a loud noise and then lost all power with every indicator light coming on.

Luckily I was in the right lane and made it to the shoulder. If I was in any other lane it would have been really bad.

Waited a few minutes but nothing when I tried to start it.

Towed it to the dealer.

I thought it was a belt but I have just heard from the dealer.

They have no idea of what the codes are telling them and they are sending the data to Atlanta for diagnosis.

They did not sound happy at all.

Do I have any options besides waiting for them to fix it?

TIA

Best bet is wait and let them fix it. More then likely your getting a new reman'd engine.

Keep us posted. I am glad to hear no one was hurt. It certainly sounds like something really bad has happened

thanks

Certainly a possibility. We like the car. Not one rattle and looks really well cared for.

But still a disappointment after searching for a few months and deciding on this one.

Matt
I still have time left on the original warranty and then the CPO warranty, which I believe is just as good as the new car warranty now.

So if its anything major I guess its just a matter of how long the car is out.
