I just picked up a Carmon 997S coupe last Saturday. It IS a beautiful color, especially in the sunlight. It's one of those paint colors that changes its shade depending on light conditions. It acts like a pearl, even though it is called a metallic.

I bought my Boxster, (I was looking for Porsche Racing Yellow) when I found it in this Carmon Red Metallic color. It is stunning and Yes, even people who are not in to cars stop me to ask about the color. Drop dead gorgeous. Red Pearl mixed with Burgundy Metallic.
very different. more like a burgundy color. looks kinda pink in certain light. i've been told it brings resale price down.
It only looks Pink in some pictures. In reality; It is a glorious Vibrant Wine Red Pearl in the sun and a Classy Burgundy in the shade. It's almost a flip flop. Below is my Boxster on a sunny day and currently in paint as part of the finishing of my restomod. To say this color brings the resale price down is a stretch from someone who does not know this color. I get people in traffic chasing me to the traffic light then, asking me what color my car is and telling me how gorgeous my car is all the time. This color is one of the prettiest Porsche colors I have ever seen. The compliments never stop coming.
