Default MY2010 changes

Are we going to see any (minor) changes or improvements after the production starts again after the summer plant shut down?
I'm ready to take the plunge on a CS4 delivery early October.

Porsche reserves the right to make changes at any time in the production cycle, and from year to year. There have been no rumors about any substantial issues coming in the MY10 cars.

Here in porsche middle east they have already amended the configurator to include 2010 options, which include aero kit, clear glass tail lights and other random options. they have also increased the price by about 3k dollars.

What exactly does the areo kit look like? I've asked a couple dealers now and none of them have been able to show me an actual Carrera or at least picture of one with the kit installed.

I remember when I ordered by car in 05-06 and there were 65 pages to wade through. It must be 100 today!

Looks like the Aero Kit and Sport Design Front Apron will not be available until Nov. 09.

That's correct that's exactly what the German site says.

Aero kit looks like the 997.1 GT3 wing. The new .2 GT3 wing is different.

Perhaps a few other items like self dimming mirrors will just become standard. Still no clue why they are an option at this point. Why are dynamic turning lights not standard yet? They are on the Boxster with xenon.

Probably for the same reason why they charge you $1100 to change the colors of the dials in the car and >$3k to be able to pick a color stitching. Because they can.

1) In five years I've never see a configurator that covers all the bases,

2) I still have 3 different copies of the PCNA - United States Order Guide - 2009 Model Year, Base Carrera Coupe and Carrera S Coupe. This is what the salemen initially used to price out a new car

The variations come from additions, deletions, price revisions, and changes in the 'Must Pick' or 'Required' or 'Conflict' columns. (Edgy01, 24-26 pages.)

3) By November (perhaps much earlier) the Salesmen were using the 'PVA' (computerized Porsche Vehicle Sales Assistant) system which was again a little different. (I could not convince my guy to print out a copy for me.)

My conclusion: just what Edgy wrote; Porsche changes stuff regularly. What is or is not available now may or may not be available next week.
