Fair price for a CPO 2007 997S in Seattle

Congrats on the purchase - looks like you got a great deal.
Still not apples to apples on the original post of this thread for a CPO, 2007 911S, loaded with 2K mi. and people advising they wouldn't pay more than 50-55K. That's not reflective of the market....someone show me a couple comps that support this...not out there...sorry. There's always great deals to be had, especially now, but lets not ill advise our fellow enthusiasts.

I've been tracking EBAY sold auctions off and on for a couple of months. Two fairly recent EBAY sales for 07 C2:
$48,100, Automatic, Appeared to be minimal options, 5,700 miles
$51,500, Manual, again appeared to be low option count but had power seat and Xenon at a minimum, 3,500 miles
Neither were S's but it's pretty easy to add whatever you consider a market residual for the S cost - say 40% to 60% of 10K? I don't believe either was a CPO so add for CPO also.
Also 3 Cab C2 S's sold, all in the very low $60's (most expensive was $62,500) all 3 with less than 10K miles. Fairly highly optioned - one with an original sticker of $109K. Another (4th) Cab S sold at $68,100.
Based on those sales I'd say $50K is unrealistic for the car but $55K seems to be in the low ballpark to me. More realistic range of $55K to $60K+.

Sold cars. High bid doesn't mean much obviously. No guarantee that the cars actually changed hands but you do know "a" price the seller was willing to let the car go for. Also 911's seem to sell a lower percentage of listed cars than several other cars I've tracked. Many times you see only 2% to 4% of the listed cars actually sell. Very few cars actually sell on EBAY.

Well, a final update.
Flew down from Seattle to Long Beach Saturday morning with a group of rabid Sounders fans who were going to the game in LA and were taking advantage of the cheap airfare ($109RT).
Dealer picked me up at the terminal and we drove in her personal 996 to the dealership, which was just a few miles away.
Spent about an hour taking care of financial business and taking test drive, looking at records and getting the .50 tour of the navi and other car systems.
Then it was off into LA traffic. Car performed flawlessly. Made it to Redding the first day, and into Seattle by 5pm on Sunday. I had to be back to work today, so no scenic route for me.
Anyway if anyone is looking for a good dealer experience in the LA area I recommend Circle. I've also heard good things about their service dept.

I drove by Circle last Saturday and I swear I didn't see any Porsches. They are doing some major renovation and all I saw were bunch of Audi's in the parking lot. I didn't even bother to stop. Maybe I should have.
I did end up buying mine about 50 miles north in Auto Gallery Porsche the next day...

Ah, you were at the wrong place, grasshoppa... ;-)
If you take a right at the Audi part of the dealership (which is under construction) and go about 1/2 block the Porsche side of the house is on the left. They must have had probably 30-40 Porsches of all types. They even had a 993C4 with a factory turbo body kit.
I will say that they were lacking customers. I only saw one older couple looking at a 997.

A good deal is just a state of mind. If you think you got one (bought the right car, right color, right options), for a price that made you happy, well then you have gotten yourself a good deal. I know people you have been waiting for 2 years for the prices of certains cars to come down, and they have, but these people still think thay should wait since they might go lower. I say you could have been driving for 2 years instead of wishing you were. Forget about what is a good deal for someone else.

I was just looking the car over yesterday as an affectionate new owner, appreciating the color and the lines, when something struck me as not quite right in the wheel department.
Today I went out to Circles website and they still have the car up. Unfortunately for them the car is listed as having colored wheel crests as original equipment AND they show as being there in the pictures.
Right now I DO NOT have colored crests. I thought something looked odd.
I called them and initially the dealer hemmed and hawed…talked about pre-owned vehicles, etc…until I told her that I had taken pictures on the trip back! Then her mood brightened up and she said “COOL! Excellent!”. I just double checked those pics…and yep…black crests.
I suspect what happened was that when they did their final checks on 6/5 (verified by a checklist paper I received) they inadvertently switched crests. Or I’d at least like to think they “inadvertently” did.
In any case she is going to bring it up with her manager who gets in this afternoon to see what they are going to do.
I just don’t want to have to shell out $$$ for something that was advertised as being on the car. I happen to really like the colored crests.
Stay Tuned…

are you sure they are the same wheels????? Maybe they switched the wheels with the colored crests to another car. Happens alot. I don't have the colored crests and don't really car for them on my car, but if yours should have them, then they need to give them to you!!!!
