Default Fair price for a CPO 2007 997S in Seattle

Hey all,

I'm currently looking at a 2007 S with a shade over 2k miles on it. Fully loaded. Full leather, chrono+, tip, color matched 19" Carrera sports, nav, sport exhaust, Bose, etc., etc. It's a really nice, fully loaded like new car. But I'm concerned. It's a consignment to a well-known dealer here in Seattle. It drives really well, and I like it, but hesitated. Now the dealer is offering to certify, which will give me 4 years of warranty, and he's come down a little bit on price.

My question is what is a fair price for this car? I know the current depressed state of prices on everything, so what say all of you?

Thanks in advance for your replies...

A good price would be $55k - $57k.

After thinking about this, I would not go any higher than $55k.

lig is right. Barrier is still living in the 90's when the MSFT money was flowing freely.

If you can get $67k out the door from Barrier you should consider yourself lucky.

99% of Porsche Dealers are living in the year 2005 when it comes
to selling their cars. Try trading a 2007 997S in and the dealer will
wear you out with how much inventory they have and how prices
have dropped through the floor in the last year. I guarantee you
would not get a HARD $50k on a trade.

There is a P-Dealer in Philadelphia who feels his 2005 NON-S
with 15k miles is worth $54,950.00. Really? I would love
to be the guy that traded that one in....Since when do dealers
feel they have to make $10 - $20k on each used car?

They are asking 75,995...! There's people on this forum getting brand new '08 for 74k or less. They are way out of touch with reality

Sounds like MSRP is around $100K+ on this car.
If it has 2K miles & CPO'd it's basically a new car, right (997.1)?

IMHO mid 50s as quoted for a good price is a dream (way too low) even in this market. Low to mid 60s is the likely best you'll do. Run a search on cars.com for 2007-2008, 911 S, with 10K max miles and see the results. You'll need to adjust for CPO, Options, Miles, etc.... Location shouldn't matter much.

Good luck

There is an 09 C2S on Autotrader, with less than 1000 miles, for $77,900. No full leather, but still a better deal.

It's a 2007 & currently it's May 2009. 2.5 years old at most.
My comment refers to CPO gives warranty term similar/better than a new car & 2K miles, should have about zero wear.

Better deal than what? Chipmunkbob who started this thread hasn't listed the price.

I know everyone is trying to help, but I think it can be frustrating for potential purchasers to be given pricing targets that are out of reach. Show me a similar car around 55K...I'm not seeing it.

I had assumed that the price provided by rickmdz was correct. If not, I take back my comment re "better deal". I agree that many of the responses here may not be very helpful. That is why I always do my own research so that I know what a good price is rather than having to depend on the opinions of others. With the internet, it is pretty easy to do a nationwide search for any given make/model and compare asking prices. It takes time, but it is time well spent in my opinion. I typically save a few benchmark cars (ie, those that I would be interested in that have similar options, and have the lowest asking prices) and then compare others against those benchmarks.

I think keninirvine may be comparing it against the $76k posted by rickmdz. If that's indeed the dealer's asking price, then it's way out of touch with reality.
