Having not driven a non-X51 car (otherwise I've driven Carrera only) I can only echo the fact that there is a distinctive 'howl' around 6500 that is noticeable and lovely. Not sure whether that is present in non-X51 cars
Its not the same hollow sound/experience in the ordinay S at least gen 1. I have friends with the S. Now lets not get stuck in the praize the x51 all mighty . I had a questuon, I have Little experience with the gen 2 x51 and i want to get a confiration its the same experience with the gen 2 as in the gen 1.
I can tell an exgasut sound difference, especially with the top down.
Most cannot feel a 20 or hp upper range bump on public streets in a car with close to 400 hp. Low end torque bumps are easier feel, but at 6k plus the X51 is much more responsive and almost has a flat plane pitch sound.
I wouldn’t spend $16,900 to ad it, but given the choice I would purchase a used without it having had it.
