Default Spacer question

Anyone know if a 5mm front spacer can be used with the standard wheel bolts, or do i need longer lugs too? Thanks in advance!

Always go with longer lug bolts that will accommodate the spacer thickness.

Porsche 5mm spacer kit includes the longer bolts. FVD 7mm spacer kit also includes longer lug bolts.

What these guys said.

This pic shows the OEM lug bolts next to the OEM bolts to be used with the 5mm spacers.

Quick question (and probably a stupid one) - is this pretty easy to do after delivery? What's the cost? Is there any reason to do it other than aesthetics?

Thanks.

Really easy.

I put a set of rims on my GT3 that don't have the exact Porsche offset. They are very close to the caliper. With 5mm spacers they work fine.

I think it is mostly for looks, but others on here certainly know more than I do about it. I have a C4 and needed some for the rears to allow me to use other wheels than those made for the C4. I picked up some used 21mm spacers for the rear on ebay that came with 5mm ones for the front. I did not think I would use the 5mm ones, but decided to mount them briefly to see if I could see a difference. To my surprise they did alter the look of the car and I like them. I took them back off until I can get the proper bolts. It only takes about 5 minutes per wheel if you have the right tools.

19mm socket, torque wrench capable of 96ft lbs, floor jack and a good back

do they make OE bolts to accompany 7mm/15mm spacers? ive seen someone state porsche sent them the car with 17mm spacers so im guessing they do?

i would like to stay with OEM bolts/locks but am looking at adding 7/15 spacers to my current wheels.

The 17mm spacer affixes to the hub using standard length bolts. Then the wheel mounts to the spacer using nuts.

Just another day hanging out with grandpa. He got a little nasty when he dipped into the PBR.
