Default hows this deal sound?

Ok, maybe I have lost my mind but I found a 2005 911 for roughly 36k with 45k miles. Has a clean 1 owner carfax and looks amazing. I have yet to see the car in person and it is located at a "payless" car dealership.

Call me crazy, but its about a 2 hour drive and I really want to go check it out.

What do you guys think?

Yes. I think you're about to 'get what you paid for.

Be VERY skeptical. Okay?

+1

Get a PPI done on that car before you would buy it. I say 20% chance that it's a great deal, 80% that there's something hiding here...

Oh yah I am right there with ya. I was going to buy this a4 back in 2004... Had a PPI done and it had a bad tranny.

I might just pass it up, I mean I have to drive 2 hours just to go see it... Always nice to dream about those good deals :P.

If anyone is in the Miami area you should go to the payless showroom and check it out.

hahahaha!! yeah I think so :P.

A 996 would be lovely! Find me one please ^_^.

I miss my P-cars, but I've owned an infiniti g35 coupe and a 350z and like those too. I have since traded them and got a more sensable car *2008 mazda cx7* which is not sporty enough for me .

Im debating on getting a good 996 or another g35. Prices are about the same but the age difference would be greater. I stumbled on that 997 and just thought I would shoot it by you guys.

I will stay far away from it, however tempting it is!!

Default Car is sold

I actually ended up buying the car. Its really clean, I saw that price on Sunday and jumped on it, as I am local in Miami.

It actually has some very nice options. I had it checked out with a buddy that works on P-Cars its perfect.

Here it is, but I added factory TT wheels.

Default Deals out there

There are some deals out there. Keep your eyes open. This dealer bought the car at auction almost a year ago for big $$. The market got sour and he did not want to take a loss.

I guess he finally wanted to move it and priced it cheap.

Good luck on your search.

Just because it is cheap does not mean it is broken.

The market is under severe pressure and great deals do pop up once in a while. That is why we do PPIs.
