Glad to see the tire insurance will cover a new tire with just a nail hole on 911's. I had my first oil change yesterday and they found a nail in the rear tire. Thankfully it didn't penetrate so I was off and running after 2 hours.

My SM told me the same thing.

Default PATCHING TIRES

Discount/National Tire will patch repairable tires for FREE.
I have a couple of patches and they work just fine. In contrast, plugs can pop out and their installation can further damage the various ply layers.
You can also buy used European tires from places such as Atlantis Tire in the LA area (http://www.atlantistire.com 310-538-3236). 70% of the tread at ~20% of the price of a new one. I just bought two rears to hold me over until all four need replaced.
