Default Tragic Ferrari / Porsche Crash

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lano...i-crash-1.html

Innocent until proven guilty, of course. But alcohol and very fast cars do not mix.

Ferrari owners, please don't try and race us....

White Porsche in Orange County, Rennlist member? Please tell us the story once you are out of jail!

I have driven in that area on a F430 spider. It is awesome. I can imagine the speed (or the alcohol/drugs) they were doing. There is incredible road surface grip over there.

Sad because the poor judgment of a few idiots reflects poorly on everyone who drives the cars. The average person reading this story either blames the alcohol (and not the dumbass drinking too much), or the cars.

Some more drunken retards in the OC. A tragedy that someone had to die from this.

Wow, I only live a few miles from there are drive that road regularly. Honestly, seeing a white Porsche in Newport Beach is not all that uncommon--even Ferrari's are not all that rare. But really stupid to be drinking and racing.....

"really stupid to be drinking and racing"

Drinking and coming anywhere near ANY vehicle IMHO. I hope he goes to jail for a very long time.

Stupid drivers and stupid-er comments:

Aside from the German autobahn, almost every road in the world (including Italian autostrada) has a speed limit no higher than 120 kph or 75 mph. So why do we continue to build, import and license vehicles specifically designed to go more than twice the legal limits?

Wow - That Ferrari split right in 2. Cleanly.

The deceased was the guy who started TapouT, the martial arts company.

Ah yes, a mix of too little age and too little wisdom, and too much money and too much testosterone. Really just Darwin at work.

Why the Porsche driver is charged with manslaughter I'm wondering about.. its not like the Ferrari driver was an innocent bystander that was run over.
