Excluding Turbos, GT3, GT3 RS and GT2, here is how the 911 base and "S" models fared. The S is holding up quite well considering the economy.

C2 Coupe, C2 Cab, C4 Coupe, C4 Cab, T4
Year to Date
TY 210
LY 303
-31%

C2S Coupe, C2S Cab, C4S Coupe, C4S Cab, T4S
Year to Date
TY 599
LY 644
-10%

I thought the last of the Carrera GT's had been registered? If that's not true then I would understand why they would keep the CGT on the list, but if they all have been registered then what's the point of keeping it on there??

You really shouldn't be reading into this small sampling in order to make generalizations about the state of Porsche. Keep in mind that certain factors have influenced past numbers over current numbers,--the current economy being simply one. (The recent introduction of the 997TT cabriolet generated much higher than normal sales in Feb 08). Thanks for posting it,--but let's not jump to conclusions. For me, the bottom line is that Porsche is still very much a viable company and they will be here tomorrow to continue producing some very fine automobiles.

I do not understand how all the dealers are staying in business, there should be consolidation in the dealer networks taking place right now.

I don't think ALL the dealers can stay in business.
I'd bet the lower-volume Porsche stores will have very tough times ahead.

Interesting to see the '09 YTD sales of Cayenne GTS' Tiptronic (332) - Dealer incentives perhaps?

I read somewhere that their profits exceeded their revenue from auto sales last year with the VW options stuff.
So im sure they can weather most any storm at the moment
