Yeah, I've been a member since 1983. Got to get out and impress the newbies once in a while.

Three Wheelin'
Larry - Are you w/ RTR?? If so, can you add to/comment on the info here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...ck-update.html (see MJones post -#6- & pic) ? Wondering which is correct.
Agree w/ your comments re PDK - Winner Porsche had a car at NJMSP this fall and we had a chance to run it -supervised- on the track and unsupervised around the facility; pretty nice system. One can really 'fast-forward' the learning curve w/ that tranny.

Drifting
I was lucky enough to test drive the 997 C2S PDK at that meeting as well and all I can say is - WOW!!! All of you 997 C2S owners are very lucky.
I could not believe how quickly the car revved compared to my 2000 C2. It revs so quickly in 1st gear that it seemed to me that it would be hard to drive a maunual version of this car because it would be difficult to shift under WOT before hitting the rev limiter.
I can't really comment much on the PDK because I didn't get to use it much, although I do agree that the shift action feels as though it is going in the wrong direction.
The brakes seemed a little too grabby and they felt as though they would be difficult to modulate .
All in all, it was definitely the fastest car that I have ever driven and I thought it was EXCELLENT....

a lot of folks have felt that the newest 997 does not have quite the visceral feel of the 996, like the poster has above. I wonder how they compare in a side by side manner based on driving feel, and not so much on outright speed.... Anyone have some insights????
