Thanks Bob,
The shadow box is my fathers. He fought in Korea as a tank commander in the 72nd Tank Battalion,
2nd Infantry Division. I am very proud of my dad. He passed in 2004

Thanks, They are Champion Motorsport RG5's 8.5 inch front with 245's and 11.5 rear with 305's. Champion has "THE" finest wheels in the world as well as bringing the 24 Hours of Lemans trophy back to America in 2005 for the first time since 1968. They are extremely light weight for their size and are forged in an 8000 ton press. The interior dimensions were designed so the Brembo 380mm floating rotor can be used. I took full advantage of that feature.

Congrats on your trophies. I'm glad you get such satisfaction out of your Porsches - I'll divert attention away from you by mentioning that I still have amber turn signals in the front of my 996, I haven't lowered my car, I use a vinyl bra and I use 0W-40 Mobil 1. ![EEK!](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
BTW, do you ever race with Kerry Singley from Peachstate? He used to work on the 951 I used to own/cherish - great guy.

From my research, the Champions seem to be the finest aftermarket wheels going.
After I saw your pampered car and the shadow box, I was thinking Gran Torino, but your father was the vet. I'm curious, did he have a collect/display hobby as well, whether cars or something else? Fruit often falls close to the tree.
Cheers --

rotokim, Kerry and I are good friends and I tslk to him often. In fact he called me about a 951 engine he just got. I will tell him hello.
Dr Car, my dad didnt have any hobbies wxcept working on cars so yes, the bug was passed. Dad was the American hot-rod type.
Sadiq, I dont know what award anyone elses "base regular 997 with new wheels" would win but mine wins every event it is entered in. Should I give the trophies back and go confess to a priest what a POS I really have?

ok, i will rephrase... what kind of award does YOUR car win? I am actually curious.
Obviously your car is not a POS - on the contrary it's awesome, which makes the whole 30 miles/year thing a damn shame.

MikeBat, People might wonder why I would have such a lame car as a 2000 Saab so here is why. My wife never drove a car before moving here 3 years ago. This car is desposible.
Sadiq, it wins any PCA Concours d'Elegance it is entered in, Regional or Multi-State such as Rennfest, Winterfest, Springthing etc. Thanks
