Has / can somebody measure from the ground to the middle of the fender above the tire front and rear on a stock 997S for me and post results here?

Should be approx 26.5" front, 27" rear.

I measured 26.5 front and 27.5 rear. Unloaded, half a tank of gas.

This is a friends stock 997GT3 at stock ride height. My car has different front lower control arms and alignment and is about 3/8" lower than stock which surprised me.

Mine is 26 3/8" front, 27 1/8" rear. 3/4 tank of gas. Stock suspension with 305/30/19 on rear.

Has your buddy's GT3 been repainted? Looks like 'dust in the paint' in that last picture.

I don't think so unless it was damaged in shipping and repaired at the port. I am sure if that had happened the dealer would disclose.

Perhaps the high quality photos reveal less than perfect factory paint jobs.

Just for grins...my 2009 has the lower Sport PASM and not the standard PASM. I took some measurements tonight.

car is empty on gas right now...under 1/4 of a tank:

26 1/16th front
26 11/16th rear
I took the tape measure from the floor to wear the fender starts. Like in the pictures of this post.

doubtful. Porsche has among the industry's most consistant paint. That looks like a 'dust particle' from a respray.

OR it's from the camera.

If you look to the left of the rulers I see 2 pinhead dimples in the paint. Looks like a re-paint to me.

"What happend on the right side of the car, looks like the entire side has been repainted?"


"OHHH, that!. Yeah my daughter decided it would be fun to draw on my car with a screw driver!"

me- "uh huh. What about the front fender looks like it was replaced, the bolts on the inside of the fender well have the paint chipped off due to being loosened and tightened.."

"ohh, yeah, my wife hit our garage come back home one night. They replaced the fender. They told me it's a new one, so that's good, right?"

me- "Right."
