Default Heated Seats

I am looking at used 997. I would like heated seats because I live in Minneapolis. Has anyone added aftermarket heated seats and been happy with them? Or swaped non-heated OEM seats for heated OEM seats?

The factory heated seats are very good.

I'd suggest you find a car with them from the factory. There are lots of 997s out there.

I have a set of black heated/memmory seats pulled from my 997S. Unless you have the wiring and console buttons they are junk. (At present I am keeping them)

I have to agree with Chris way to costly and time consuming to add heated seats after market. Find a great buy with them already added in. There's a lot out there just keep searching.

This thread offers a little bit of additional information: Adding Heated Seats to a 997 Afterwards.

Thanks for all the input. I live in MN so I need the heated seats. And I really want a rear window wiper as well. I found a car that I wanted except for the heated seats. 2006 Speed Yellow 997s, sport seats, rear wiper, but no heated seats. Certified for 57k with 12k miles. It seems that there are some great buys on these cars.

Try further afield. Check inventory at Chicago dealers. Their cars typically will have the spec you want. Check out Porsche Exchange in particular - my dealer - and ask for a guy called Faris.

I live in Ohio, have heated seats and rear wiper, would not get a car without them, the rear defroster is not strong, the wiper is very helpful in snow
