My wife really surprised me this Christmas with a gift certificate to a two day Porsche Performance driving school. I had registered and paid for one over a year ago but our daughter then changed the dates three of our grandchildren were to be baptised so I had to cancel. So I just let that issue drop, but no more, I'm looking forward to going in Feb or March... Grandpa is going to have fun. Anyone else planning an early Spring/ or late winter trip to Barber Motor park. Also and hints or suggestions on making the school even more fun and informative than I have already heard it is. Happy New Year

Great present.
I just completed the course two weeks ago. It was a tremendous experience.
I am a complete novice so I read the beginning chapters of "speed sercets" before I went to the course. That gave me an idea of what the sport was about and it helped me relax. And IMO being relaxed is the key to getting the most out of the course.
The instructors are fantastic. Hell, the whole thing is fantastic. First class all the way.
Have fun. It will be a blast.

You are going to have a GREAT time, without question!
The new fleet of 997.2 cars will be in place, so you will be able to experience the PDK, as well
drive the Turbo.
Don't wait too long to secure your spot!

You will learn so much! I hope you will be able to join your local PCA club or Chin Motorsports and put to use what you learned. The instructors are the absolute best and the track at Barber is awesome.

How is the learning curve from going multiple times? Did you notice the most improvement after the 1st visit?
I'm thinking about doing the PDE or M-School before making my next car purchase, and as a factor to help me decide if I should go the route of getting a dedicated track car or just accept the limitations on the road and buy something more practical.

As to the learning curve. Going from 2 day Performance to Masters was great. Nice progression of events. My third go, will be the 3 day Racing program, expectations are high.
I would attend the Masters again, but I would choose a PCA or Chin DE over a return to the Performance 2 day. I feel they are all highly worth while!
