Default %%^^##$$ Nail in my tire....

This is seriously like my 4th nail in under 12K miles...I am not sure if the 305's are just like nail magnets, or if it is simply my crappppy luck, but aargh, I am getting frustrated. Since I am not DE'ing for the next few months, and since these tires (P-Zero Rosso's) not good formuch more than 8-10 K rears (at with the way I drive...:-)), I will plug for now but man o man Very frustrating! Am I alone in this one gents?

I've picked up two nails in my right rear. One didn't cause any loss of air until it was pulled. Had the tire patched from the inside each time. More nails/tacks/screws live near the right edge of the road and the right front tire seems to set them up to penetrate the right rear. Maybe it just seems like we're getting more punctures since Porsche ditched the spare tire.

Know you how feel. I'm on my 4th patch as well in 12,000 miles. My last one was with only 80 miles on the tires. What is it with these cars?

Just had a nail in my ML500 this morning, interestingly, in the right rear. What a pain.

well....third set of 4 tyres this year and less than 7k miles...2 of them were punctures...nails + holes in Miami... I am learning that these cars are better not driven in certain streets / roads.

The compound of these tires is soft for tackiness and grip, that also enables nails to penetrate easier. The right rear is the most common due to debris in the side of the road and the front tire will launch the nail or screw into the rear tire like a gun.

It is ABSOLUTELY insane for a road car not to have a spare.

Terrible trend in modern cars.

Bottle of sealant? Oh, puhleeeze.

Right rear punctures mean you might have a habit of cutting too close to curb and running over debris field when turning right. Also, always drive in the common "tire lanes." Never cross line and drive with two or four wheels on shoulder and even avoid crossing centerline as much as possible.

I think you may just have bad luck. I have around 12k miles on my car and the first nail was around 9k miles, just before the tyres needed replacement anyway.

2 rear tire punctures in 1 year, 6000 miles. One of them a side wall; hence, had to order a new tire. Never during apex practices. In addition, in south Texas we have to worry about chipped windshields. Both my Cayenne and my 997. On the 997 already replaced the windshield when I first drove the car home. Quite expensive, about $700.00.

Suggest changing your comprehensive insurance deductible to $100. When your windshield gets pitted, it becomes a safety issue. Your replacement will cost $100
