This is going to hurt- trade in values.

I read that they closed due to the dealer's financial issues, not poor car sales. Lambo wouldn't extend any more credit to the dealer. Although I'm sure Lambo must be feeling some of the impact of the market downturn.

So Lamborghini dealers are the first to fall? Makes sense, those buyers don't have alot of brand identity with the car - like Ferrari buyers. It's a pure impulse "I got some quick cash" buy - so those are the first to go.

All this talk about the incredible depreciation that our cars are taking makes me think that perhaps I should drive my C2 year round in Suburban NJ. I could let it get attacked by salt and sand. I could wash it maybe twice all winter. Given the huge supply of 997s and the presence of 997 MkIIs, it's hard to see that the value in 10 years of a summer-only car with 50K mi is going to be much different than a more rustic daily driver with 100K mi. Time to throw in the towel and drive year round?

It's a car. Made in Germany. Where it rains. And snows. A lot. It wont melt or seize up or mysteriously explode if you take it outside when the sun is behind the clouds........
