Default headroom and seats...

What seats give the most headroom, but still provide good thigh support for the long-legged guys? 1Gunner - it sound like you have a good setup - what is it? Thanks!

I have standard Sport Seats set down to their lowest, seat set at it's furthest back with the seat back set almost fully upright for track use and set a little further back for a more relaxed road touring stance. For track use, I have the steering wheel out fully and tilted up almost fully for knee clearance to heel/toe.... I'm comfortable with the setup!

6', 3.5"---250# (down to 235 this morning due to diet) and have good room with electric seats with a C4. Had lots of head space in the 996 GT3, and adequate with helmet in the 996 C2.

I am 6'4 close to 230 - no fat jokes here either. I am only about 8% body fat. I fit perfectly fine in my C2s. I drove it from Houston to Austin lat weekend with a buddy who is 6'8 265. We both fit just fine.

I have the adaptive sport seats.

As soon as I sat in it and lowered the seat and then felt above my head and still had 2 fingers of clearance I heard angels singing in my head.

In contrast in the 2008 Z06 I felt like I was a sardine and it actually convinced me not to buy it. Why buy a car you don't really fit in?
I'd almost be willing to generalize this to say its a difference between German and Japanese/Oriental cars.

When I was shopping or a new compact in 1994 I sat in lots of things. In any Honda or Toyota with a sunroof, my 6'1" height had my skull rubbing the roof. In the VW Golf, I had two finger gap. So I'm still driving that 94 Golf today (awaiting the deliver of an 09 Targa that gets built on October 2).

Go sit in the cars, and see for yourself. I found, for example, that the sports seats were too narrow in the shoulder - compressed my shoulderblades and were uncomfortable. So I ordered normal electronically adjustable seats.
