Default Clutch engagement switch

I found this post at CaymanClub, they talk about a 2 second throttle delay after the clutch is depressed. Is this also true for the 997??

My 997S 6-speed has this switch on the clutch pedal. I may try to take it's function out of my car just to see what it is they are talking about.

Dan: you are just the person to sort this out and clarify what's going on. Looking forward to learning from you.

I don't have a 997, but it works on a 996. It makes a noticeable change to the way the throttle pedal responds - in a good way.

I've been paying particularly close attention to how I engage the clutch and accelerator lately so that if I get around to disconnecting that thing I can note a difference. I suspect from the description that the way I drive a stick is consistent with good clutch wear, etc., and I would probably not notice a difference whatsoever. Will try to get to this.
