I don't believe you will need to order XSB as you are only ordering the P77 Leather Sport seats. XSB would be necessary if you were ordering the Adaptive Sport Seats (***). The standard sport seats come with leather on their backs already.

I would delete the leather on the steering column,--you have a black interior already. That part comes black.

Sill finishers in leather,--YOU may be careful, but what about your passenger?? You would have to be very **** about this.

Why a turbo?

Good choice on color. When I think of all the "custom" Porsches out there today, it saddens me a bit to see that so many are not that custom at all, when they are painted in some silver-metallic variant. While the metallics are very pretty, and I can see the attraction,--I say live a little. I am confident that you will enjoy the Riviera Blue, much like I enjoy the Blue Turquoise.

+1 on Riviera Blue - great and classic color.

I think I'm going to do a paint to sample one of these years and it may very well be in the lighter blues.

Very nice car. Congrats! I don't have any suggestions, but regarding paint-to-sample, Craig recently posted the following (you may want to double-check with your dealer):

With all that leather, deviating red belts and red trim in the floor mats why not some deviating red stitching? It's subtle.....doesn't yell at you like the belts but really adds character imo.

I'm personally not into such a leathery car, but it's better than the aluminum look junk!

awesome color choice.

Thanks, all.

Dan: P77 comes standard with "Volcano Grey" seatbacks, and I really don't like that effect in the car. The steering column is just something I see a lot, and I would prefer to see the refined look of leather there over plastic. Why a turbo? Only because I have had a Boxster, a base Carrera, and a Carrera S (in that order). It seemed like the right time to experience the turbo.

Wolfgang: Thanks for the heads-up on possible delivery delays. I am willing to wait for this car but will look into the matter further.

CJ: I agree. A little aluminum-look is OK, but too much looks tacky.

SW: I looked at a car with black leather and red deviating stitching, and it just didn't do it for me. I wanted to bring the red from the brake calipers into the cockpit and, in my mind's eye, saw the seatbelts and mats as just enough red accent. I am not yet locked in, though.

Nice.. Rivera Blue is a stunning color but the extra wait may put you in a MY10 which would make the wait wothwhile. I plan on going with deviated stitch, but can appreciate you rpersonal taste choice..

If you're getting the dome light cover in leather. What about the headliner in leather? Is it included in one of the options you listed?
Nice car.

I think everyone here is fully suckered in by Porsche and some conception that more power is necessary. Unless you live in Germany you can't use that much horsepower. There is still a misconception that the "turbo" is the ultimate Porsche and something that customers aspire to,--that top of the heap symbol. The turbo isn't that,--it's more a symbol to others.

With logic like that, why aren't you in a Boxster or Cayman? I mean, most would agree that they handle better than the butt-heavy 911, and who really needs 300+ HP anyway?

FWIW, I've always maintained that 128 HP is plenty for my Miata and that I was OK with the power in my 996, but I'm currently shopping for a 996TT because I want top-of-the-line, year-round GT car. I recognize that they're not for everyone, but I'm surprised to see someone curious as to why someone would want one.

I'd skip the red interior bits - it'll clash with the Riv blue exterior. Maybe do some in carbon fiber or body color. It's very tempting to go crazy with color inside, but most times less is more... Otherwise it sounds great. Good luck!
