You've done it again! Thanks much for the info.

Interesting about the crankcase and the new heads... high tech, again.

The C2S weighs only 3135 lbs. ! Sweet.

that PDK operation, I do not fully understand the shifting mechanics. using the console shifter, pushing forward upshifts, pulling back downshifts? shouldn't it be the other way around?

That's opposite from the way the sequential operates on the cup cars. They must have figured that way was more intuitive or something I guess.

Indeed, they chose wrong. When braking/decelerating, the frontward weight shift makes pushing forward on the shifter to downshift more intuitive then pulling back on it, and the opposite for accelerating.

What were they thinking?

How long before someone sells an after market connector to reverse the orientation?

Thank you!

On the technical side, one interesting point is that they did away with the intermediate shaft in the new engine. Before I got mine I asked a couple of Porsche certified mechanics I and friends know about the engines and the one thing they all said was that the IS scared them is they had seen failures and as it could fail fairly catastrophically without warning and without driver input/error.

Just what I needed to see. How depressing...now my beautiful '06 cab seems old and technologically outdated. I didn't think that just ten minutes ago.

All those fantastic upgrades and yet they didn't update the damn ignition key. Amazing. I'm just kidding, guys.
