Just 2 hours to install the entire system ?

Having done one myself, all I can say is :
WOW , I'm impressed
( and if my Aunt had a "weeney" , she could be my Uncle) Lol

I too am impressed by the time it took 'fast997' to complete the entire job (mufflers & wiring). He must be a 'super tech'.

I did both last October. The mufflers are pretty straightforward and take little time. If I recall the brackets are attached w/ just 4 bolts (per side) plus the header flange & CAT sleeves.

The wiring was a whole different story. Snaking the wiring in the cabin required trim & panel removal plus feeding it through the cabin to motor compartment grommet was both time consuming and tedious work. Connecting to the DME was not real time consuming once you figured out which wire and committed yourself to spicing in. Wrong connection and you'll risk frying the DME ($$$$$$$$).

I consider myself a fairly good wrench and electrical technician. No way I could have the entire job in 2 hours.

Kudos to 'Fast997'.

Perhaps fast997 is saying 2 hours for the hard parts only (ie. no wiring)?

In Fast997s' own words . . . . . "installed/wired myself in 2 hours."

Like I said in my earlier post . . . . . . if he did it in 2 hours than kudos to him for his wrenching and electrical integration speed.

I skipped the DME and had it wired to a 12volt off/on switch directly to the solenoid. Small switch in ashtray.
No interference from DME!

I basically did mine the same way. I picked up my 12 volts from the DME area (under the rear deck).

Ran a nice little toggle switch mounted inside the ashtray compartment. Connecting to the DME so it would be activated by 'Sports Mode' didn't appeal to me. I like turning it off/on at my (or my wife's) discretion; not the DME's.

My bad, I fail on reading comprehension this time.
2 hrs is pretty darn impressive, maybe that's why he is called fast997s?

They are vacuum actuated. The electrical wiring is required to operate the solenoid in engine compartment that controls the vacuum to the actuators..

maybe he's just exaggerating like EVERYONE does when they estimate DIY time on an online forum.
