AWE wanted to sell the pelnum so why would they not try their best to have it show gains? If they could trythfully have it show gains they would sell a lot of them and make money. I see AWE just being totally honest which is refreshing in this industry of mods.

The AWE guys are unbiased and really were hoping that this mods would make power... They ran 60 pulls on the dyno, all the while maintaining contact with Greg at RSS and getting his input, feedback. They would not release the results until RSS had seen them first. The guys at AWE put up their time and effort to the exclusion of all else for 2 days. nuff said.

If you want to cut to the chase, here is the post from AWE, number 71 in that thread:

I participated in some dyno tests of this plenum and another variant that a guy was trying to make, and got essentially the same results - no gain. I am glad I didn't fork out $1000, though I did fork out money for many dyno runs.

I have to be honest with you I may be wrong on this one and I'm not afraid to admit it. I recently purchased an RSS Plenum after much research and reading. Yes I tried to do my homework but it appears I may have spent money that I didn't need to. And now it appears from Ron CT, that Porshce has an ECU upgrade that if installed could interfere with my Revo software. I have to call Jeff tomorrow at Danbury Porsche Dealership to see what is currently being upgraded on the 997 at this time. I will update and try to steer others in the right direction. Once again guys I'm learning on the job here, but not without trying to stay informed. Stay tuned and drive well.

Jay,
Jeff is in Germany... He's on a Porsche tour of factory and other sites as well.
I think the ECU upgrade really only has to do with the engine fan. That's all I've been told when I scheduled my car in for the 2 year service.
I think you'll be OK, but again, always ask as it cannot hurt.

Yah, it is the engine fan that is the subject of the updated software - but we all need it and it wipes out any aftermarket software you might have, mandating a reflash. The problem is the software companies are not "up to speed" with the new data, so there's no replacement REVO yet and who knows how long it will be. Now I feel like I spent $900 on REVO and am missing enjoying it on street and track.
