Charlotte NC (or nearby) clear bra install shop recs wanted
I've got an '09 C2S on order in the Charlotte area. My plan is to take delivery and take a couple of weeks to road trip home to the Pacific NW. As such I really want to get a clear bra installed immediately after (or even before) delivery to avoid the paranoia that will result in following semis and the inevitable gravel truck on the trip home. From my research, it seems most shops use pre-cut kits; however, it seems pretty much assured at this point that the '09 cars will have updated front fascias, and the kits for the '08 and earlier cars won't fit. Which leads to my questions:
1. Are most shops capable of custom cutting the 3M or Ventureshield to fit a car for which the pre-cut patterns aren't available, or can only the best shops do this? Is this likely to be as high quality as the pre-cut kits?
2. I know from exhaustive research on this board that the installer is the most important part of the process. With this in mind, andbody have any recs for expert, detail oriented installers in this region? And, given the circumstances, who can custom cut the material?
Thanks in advance.

There is an independent shop near Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte, that does their work. Call Hendrick ask for Scott in service and they will put you in touch with them.
They did my GT3. They use 3M products, plan of a full day for installation.

In a couple weeks they are moving around the corner onto Sardis Rd North. But number should be the same. They go by AutoShield now....but same guy/products. Steve's been doing highline film for years, know him quite well.

Thanks for the responses. The main issue at this point is that the car is going to be one of the first '09's off the boat, and it's unlikely the pre-cut kit will be available yet for the new front end. I need a shop that is not only very high quality but also can do a custom cut to fit the new car. I think Ultrashield only uses kits, so they may not be able to help me. Anybody know any really great shops in the area (or even more northward along the eastern seaboard, as my trip home may detour in that route) that can do this for me?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Mario de Francisco with Paint Protection Film in Hendersonville, NC did a super job with my 2004 996 40th anniversary. Not a precut. He will travel to do the job but will charge for the travel expense. Phone 828-393-0604, email defranciscom@yahoo.com. No affiliation. Good Luck.
