I am looking at an 05 S that has 22,000 miles and the engine was replacemed due to cylinder issues at 20,000 miles. Porsche did a long block replacement and the owner had the clutch changed at the same time.
My question is does this change the value of the car. On one hand you have a car with a fresh motor, on the other, you have to disclose the replacement when the car is sold down the road.
Overall condition of the car is excellent, full leather, aero kit, non-nav, 19 inch wheels. Price on the car will be $58-60K.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Minimal if any. Frankly, the 997 and 997S are mass production cars and overall condition weighs in far more heavily than any component replacement, especially considering the powertrains in these cars are replaced as a unit and rebuilt at the factory.

They don't even list the engine number on any paperwork with the car when delivered. Clearly, they recognize that these things aren't going to stay together forever. What's in the computer is what counts and it will simply say what the current engine number is. It doesn't matter.

If someone pulls the service history on the car it will show up. You could elect to say nothing but at some point if it gets raised, you have to respond.
