Default Why is the porsche configurator always down?

This seems so amateurish on their part. Can't they keep their website operating smoothly? And btw, when using the 3D version, it soaks up upwards of 350MB of memory. There is no excuse for that either!

I too found the same problem. However, it appears that the 'Down for Maintenance' screen is more of a time-out screen than anything else. I have found that I can sometimes access it from one computer, but not another (even on the same home network).

Maybe they're too cheap to provide enough capacity to handle the number of people trying to access it, so it brings up that message when at capacity.

I was on the site today and it asked me to take a survey. I heavily emphasized the unreliability of the configurator.

I've noticed the same thing and run into problems searching the CPO cars. At first I thought it was just the criteria I selected and that none were available. Then I found some on specific dealer websites.

They must have used the team that designed the PCM to design their configurator.

I have tried on two separate networks and cannot connect to it. It just takes forever to tell me they are doing upgrades. Whatever. This is terribly lame.

I just did my cars configuration. (Admittedly quite simple & basic). Took about 5 minutes. My car would sticker just about $1000 more than when I ordered.

I just wish the fancy 3D configurator worked on a Mac.

I just tried it and the Interior View didn't work at all. Then it wouldn't go past step 3.

I backed out and went back through it again, and instead of going to step 4, it brought back the original page.

And when searching for US CPO cars, there are no dealers 5oo miles from my house with any CPO car. - yeah right.

Did it again without the zip code thingy and the results came back, only from Europe.

I wish they would show deviated stitching on the images. If Aston Martin can do it so should Porsche.

The configurator is p*ss poor for a car that can cost anywhere from $40's to over $200K. I've spoken with my dealer about how much more expensive stuff they could sell if the configurator was hi-def and could handle more of the small details us crazy people here look for.

I even co-signed a note to PCNA and the response back was that they didn't think the changes were worth implementing. That's what I call lazy.
