Default Advise/comment for 20k service

I have scheduled MY06 for the 20k service next week. Anything I should look out and done for the 20k service? Thanks for all you comment.

I just had my 20k service done. Even though I have had my car for just over a year, I had them flush/replace the brake fluid; extra cost was about $200.00. My dealer also cleaned the air cond condensor and the radiator of any debris.

They should also do a reprogram of the DME pursuant to a factory tech directive.

What is DME if you don't mind I ask. Thanks.

If they end up replacing the DME, both keys will have to be reprogrammed. If they just just update the DME, the spare key will still work. Therefore, it is better to bring both keys just in case.

Is there a recall on the DME or TSB outstanding?

I am in the same boat for the 20,000 mile service.
Dealer told me that Porsche now recommends 5-40 instead of 0-40 oil.
They are going to use 5-40 in my car.
Is that true? What am I going to do with the 5 cases in my garage?
Can I mix the two?

Are you taking it to a dealer? My local dealer charged me $799 plus tax for 20k "service". I checked later with a local certified shop that other Rennlisters recommended, and they said it would have been $265 with them, including pollen filter. Guess where I'm going next time? Oh yes, my oil level still show over-full since the "service", 300 miles later.
