If the letter has "PCA" on it, make sure it's not from our friends at "People, Cars and Activities."

if the 2009 car has the DSG gearbox, demand for it is going to be very strong I predict. tailight changes, an elongated nose, bigger mirrors, and a few more HP won't drive alot of current owners to upgrade, but that gearbox will.

Recently, used Ferrari's with manual transmissions are becoming more and more desirable in the preowned market.

There are ongoing newer versions of F1 gearbox hardware and software, but the good old manual transmissions are straightforward and timeless. I have been shopping for a preowned 360 or 550, and everytime a manual car available it is sold quickly at good premium.

It is just an interesting trend that I have observed

With best regards,

Unfortunately, the 430 is likely to be the last Ferrari model with the availability of a gated shifter. The video games won.

car sales for 2007 were at an all time low!! As low as in 1998......so this must have hit all brands...it ius funny how Porsche makes something negative into a postive....great marketing stunt.

Does DSG gearbox take away from the manual driving experience that some of us like to begin with?Do you think there will be alot of PC dumping when this comes out, or will the standard gearbox be more desirable to some?I guess my point is will this make standard trannys obsolete?

Not scientific, but we had a little forum poll not too long ago about this question (click here). Of the 134 people who voted, 56.7 percent would choose manual transmission over DSG/PDK for their next 911.
