Default New Carrera S 997 Cab Owner!

Hi Everyone,

A nearly lifelong dream was realized today, I just got home with my new 997 S! I didn't anticipate actually buying anything today, I just wanted to test drive a few of the models to see how they compared, but lo and behold here I am, with the exact match for every option that I wanted. Just insane, I can't stop smiling.

Here are the details:

2008 997 S Cab

Basalt Black Metallic
Sand Beige Full Leather
Cabriolet in Black
Power Seat Package
Self Dimming Mirrors
Heated Front Seats
19" Sport Design Wheel
Sport Chrono Package Plus
Bose High End Sound Package
Door Entry Guards Stainless Steel Illuminated
Porsche Crest in Headrest

It had 12 miles on it when I picked it up, but of course, now has nearly 100. Sweeet. I am just thrilled, I can not believe I finally have one.

Beautiful and I'm so jealous of weather that lets you have the top down.
Break it in well and have some fun!!

Thanks everyone. The Clear Side markers were purchased within moments of getting home Next up, bumper plugs, possibly the smart top (great suggestion!) and a decent radar detector, as I am already finding it so very difficult to keep it from running. Oh, also just purchased the Britax Parkway booster seat from eliteseats, so we will see how that does.

The weather here was amazing yesterday, bitterly cold most of the morning, but for some reason, the world seemed to heat right up the moment they handed me the keys, funny how that works. My poor wife was turning a few shades of blue in the passenger seat, so the top went back up shortly, but it was fun while it lasted.

........bet the salesman went home and said; "Honey, this is like shooting fish in a barrel..! I just let them drive?!" His buddy at the Ford dealership is on the phone trying to get his prospects Payday loans for their down payment.

Nice car ..very nice option list. You'll remember your Boxster. It's nice to have those very personal comparisons. I'm glad I didn't come to the 997 cold.
