Ugly R8
Finally Spotted an R8 today on the fwy. I can't see why there is a comparison between the 997 and R8. The R8 styling look completely different and IMHO, it's ugly. W/ the LED driving light on, I feel offended because it look like a exaggerated slant eyes. The two tone color between the Air intake and the body looks weird. (Body in Metalic llt Blue / Intake WHite) The shape of an R8 look mechanical while the 977 have the curves... I could go on and on... Bottom line, there are no comparison. IMHO, the 997 beet the R8 styling Hand down...

I looked online and MSRP looked like $125k or so, and all the ads wer for $185k.
FOr that i would get a used 360 Ferrari though :-)

My supervisor already has one on order and when the demo was at the dealership, I went with him to look at it. I didn't like it from the pictures, but when I saw it in person, everything fell in place.
The lines flowed and it actually looks pretty exotic. Pics don't do this car justice. It certainly is in the eye of the beholder..

The R8 is gorgeous to me. I find it to be much better looking than the Gallardo, just enough smooth surfaces to offset the angles. Don't get me wrong, I love the 911's, but they are the same basic shape for the last 40 years, so it's hard to get as excited when I see one on the street.
