Default Le Chef's 997 Receives the full detailing treatment

Le Chef made the trip from the city so that I could work my magic on this beautiful 997. I got started at around 8:30 and finished around 3:30. It was cold out but the car is looking amazing and the finish is protected.

Process:

Wash with Meguiars Gold Class using a strong solution to clean the inside of the wheels

Clay with Clay Magic

Menzerna Super Intensive Polish via Orange Pad and Rotary at 1600 RPM

Menzerna 106FF via White Pad and Rotary at 1200 RPM

Optimum Opti- Seal by hand on paint, glass, wheels, and door jambs.

Armor All Endurance Gel on the tires

I love working on 997's because they are just beautiful cars. Here are the pictures and if you have any questions let me know.

Le Chef was a great customer and a pleasure to talk to. I hope you enjoyed the detailing and the car stays safe through the winter. Pictures should be up on my website in a couple days.

Thanks for looking

Andrew

Those rotors look awfully "rusty". Just kidding. I sure wish I could find a way to avoid the post-wash corrosion, and metal oxide spray on the inner wheels following my washes. Maybe this would make a good sticky post?

Just can't beat Menzerna when it comes to fine polish! Have yet to try Opti-Seal or any of the Optimum polish line since I use Menzerna and see no need to change!

This should last for some time with a QD now and then and still look stunning!

Nice pics!!!!!

Deanski

Very nice...

How do yo like the Menzerna product, and what other products have you tried?

I like zaino but the mixing and curing and be time consuming.

I use Menzerna to polish out the defects and I have not found anything better. Super intensive polish cuts very well and finishes very fine. I don't believe there is a rival to 106FF in terms of finishing ability.

I have used Zaino before for protection (Z2 pro + Z5 pro both ZFX'd) but have not used their polishes (ZAIO or ZPC).

I've used polishes from Optimum, HiTemp, Meguiars...the list goes on and on...

I love Opti Seal!

Smart man! Menzerna is by far the finest polishes out! They've been at it a long time, have very unique abrasives and supply most German OEM Mfg with polishes. Between 106FF and PO85RD are the best finishing polishes I've ever used and that means quite a bit since I used numerous finishing polishes, NOT glaze which is a whole different thing.

If you want that piano black laquer look, this is the best out for final work. Their cutting/corecting polishes work extremely well, but do have a learning curve for those used to other polishes.

As for Zaino, I know your pain as I use it often and have yet to use the Zaino Clear Seal. But mixing is nothing more than adding a few drops and a little shaking.

Yet to try Optimum.

!
Have you tried the 106FA yet? I prefer it to FF. And for that little extra, a pass with 85RD is just right.
