Anyone regret buying a base carrera?..

I am looking at getting back into a Porsche, and found an interesting deal on a BLack Carerra, non-S. It stickers at $82,000, is very well optioned (i.e.,19" carerra wheels, xenon headlights, BOSE stereo, 6-speed, etc., and lease payment would be $1,390/month for 36 months, 15K per year. Two main questions:
a) Does that sound like a reasonable lease payment for this car?
b) Am I going to regret not spending the additional cash to get the CarerraS?
My main regret is that I won't have the red calipers and the nice "S" badge on the rear lid, but that is more of a psychological issue to me. (i.e., that I would be envious of seeing the "S" badge on passinmgs cars...)
Any thoughts, as always, would be welcome

In addition to the comments surrounding overall performance, I'd also consider the difference in resale value of C2S versus C2. I've driven both on the track and there's a gap between them. On the street, we all know that it makes no difference.

I would look for the right condition and options on the car instead
of whether it's a Carrera or Carrera S.
In the grand scheme of things, the price difference is not that significant
between the two models--perhaps 5% - 10%.
I would much prefer having a pristine Carrera over a rough Carrera S.
Don't get me wrong, had I found the perfect S, it would be in my garage
right now.
When and if I decide to upgrade from the Carrera, I will most likely
jump to a Turbo or a GT3.

Wouldn't the re-sale value, in terms of absolute value, be relative to the original cost of the car? Its not like the S is going to depreciate any less than a non-S. The S may be more be more desirable on the re-sale market making it more "valuable".

I'm not sure if the resale value is totally relative to the original value of the car and is likely to be different by market. My assumptions based on P-dealership relationships, not private sale.
I agree that the S version has a better chance at retaining a better value, albiet a very small %.
Any idea of the "red book" evaluations for both models, from 2006?
