I would say GT3 or GT3RS if your looking at the 120-130 price range. Depends if you using more for street or track.

The GT3 is a little too raw for everyday use, at least for my tastes.

For $120K get a Turbo, it's a no brainer. I would never spend that much on an M96 powered car, X51 or not, just not the same.

Don't care for all-wheel drive. If I did, I'd get an Audi. It just doesn't belong on a true sports car, that's unless you'll drive it in the winter. I have a beater car for winter.

I'd love to have a GT3RS or that sick as all hell "widow maker" GT2 if I had the funds. After seeing the GT3RS up close, it's one hell of a car. Add some PSS9 Damptronics and have your own ride comfort, or track monster.

I was thinking of adding X51 on my car, but for only 26HP and $17K? I passed.

I too have PCCB's and these things are just fabulous! Wish the C2S was a bit lighter so adding PCCB's are worth the reduced weight. Still, they do work as they say, no rust, no dust and do stand out.

After reading Total 911 on the Cargraphic 997S Cab at 404hp, but more importantly, how sharp the handing is. They took a shot of the engine bay, no added air intake or mods, just a flash/remap via "RS Tuning". The author says it's knife-edge sharp in cornering and general handling and sounds great too.

So, I'd save my $$ and put yourself on the list for a GT2, or wait to see what's next for the 997 if any paddle shift will be coming soon. Now that would be sweet.

Regards,
Deanski

YIKES! Makes my 2005 launch car seem like a bargain!

It might take me a few months to muster up the guts to throw down that kind of $$$.
For this price I will definitely get a GT3 with PCCB. IMHO, you should wait few months and test drive the facelift Turbo and GT3 and then decide which one.

That's insane to spend 120k on a c2s, you're already in TT/GT3 land, might as well get the 'real' thing.

real thing? a bunch of bologna. the 997TT has turbo lag period. it's awd. the carrera 3.8 gets more raves than the 997TT which is more of a GT car.

if you want rwd and zero lag which is best, go for the c2s or the gt3. if you like mad power, and don't mind the lagginess of a turbo engine, go for the TT.

they're all real deal 911s.

If you are going to buy new the TT can not be beat. If the GT3 is too rough(which it is not for me) the TT is it. Plus there are no more GT3s left and you would have to pay over MSRP even for a used 997GT3.

I will not buy another NA 911 until PAG starts using true dry sump engines again. Been there, done that with my 996, I just don't trust them. That's why turbos and GTs are the "real deal" IMO.
