Default Worst car show on TV?

I think many would agree that the BBC shows (Top Gear, 5th Gear) are good, if not the best car shows on TV.

I'm curious what you think is the worst? For me, the US PBS show "Motorweek" is terrible. So bad, it's almost campy.

+1 on Motorweek. Also here in Canada: Motoring 2007...looks so cheap and they mostly test cars that have zero appeal to enthusiasts, not to mention that the journos don't have the same chemistry as the brit boys do. Anyone who tunes into a car show couldn't care less about a competitive analysis between a Yaris and a Fit!

Seriously. Outside a morgue, you cannot find more boring, passionless, unexciting, uninvolving people AND they are allegedly doing something they love (yikes!)

Yes - easily, MOTORWEEK Dorks talking to Dweebs in 50's-speak. .

The best TV about cars: Autoline Detroit ..formerly Detroit Public TV now shown on SPEED TV.

+7 - Motorweek has been around for >20 years with no changes in personnel or format. Show's almost campy. Yesterday on Goss' Garage they showed how to detail a car -- consisted of a "detailer" who could barely get a sentence out showing how to vacuum or blow compressed air into the grooves on fabric seats to get crumbs out - but he cautioned that with an air compresser, they could "go other places" so you need to vacuum up the crumbs on the carpet, too. DUH.

Yes, Motorweek is almost comical. They obviously work with a very limited budget, so I wouldn't expect it to compete with Top Gear, which for a while was the top rated show in Britain...but c'mon...the CLK63 Black Series was on the other week, and I was dying to hear the thing (seems to me one of the primary reasons to watch a review rather than read it), but like every other car it was squelched for the sappy commentary.

What channel is 5th Gear on? Top Gear and 5th Gear are the best, though I can't get either on my cable anymore.

I do like Motorweek, not as good as Top Gear or 5th Gear but I've been watching it for 25 years since I was 12.

Glenn - I have Time Warner Cable here in the Charlotte area and I have the digital box which gives me extended channels. The BBC America is on channel 170 here locally, but each regional cable company programs their channels differently.

Top Gear is on Monday evenings at 8:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time.
