BackYard Buddy has approved installers ($600 for mine) in most metro areas. Getting someone to do the hi-lift door mods was the trickiest. I ended up using Overhead Garage Door ($1,200 for the parts/labor/Liftmaster).

My $5K+ that I quoted for the lift did NOT include the door modification.

This guy added 33.2 bhp to his JK for $700 (muffler, CAI, and chip). Jeep leaves "more on the table" than Porsche. For a heavy vehicle like your Unlimited, you may be interested. If you haven't seen www.jk-forum.com you'll like it also.
That's a little too much power for the Wrangler. It's still top heavy with front and back live axles. As is will do 0-60 in 9 something seconds. A lot of people modifly them, but they are the best off road truck made right out of the box.

The lift is 4" thick, a 997 is 51.2", and you need room for your 2nd vehicle (the garage door tends to end up over the hood, not the roof). Getting the door figured out is the first step of the process.

My whole set-up tops out at a little over 10.5' with an SUV underneath, so you should be fine.

Go the www.garagejournal.com, search on lifts and you'll many, many hits.
