BTW, the Pirellis are not available in 305 for the rears, so I simply went to the 295s... no issues at all.

I've had good luck with the Pirellis here in Salt Lake City. I much prefer them over my "summer" tires, P-Zeros.

Mike, you're saying you like the Pirelli 240 SnowSports better than yr summer tires? Wow. They're good, but I wouldn't go that far... :-)

Ya, but I really don't like the P-Zeros.

Just driven the Michelin once on a Cayman S withe 18" and 265 at rear. Didn't like them to much, ok to drive but less feedback than the best in class.

I would recommend the Contis or the Dunlops M3. Pirellis are a nice tyre, but when you pass the limit they come like a hammer. The Contis and Dunlop are more predictable without loosinge grip and stability.

I installed a set of Nokian yesterday (winter is coming to Norway), but still to soon to give a verdict. They feel though a bit softer than the Dunlop/Conti/Pirellis and thats ok, since max speed is 60 miles.

I have the Pirellis. I put them on my C4 Cab last Fall and used my car as a daily driver all winter. We only had a few snow days last year, but they (and the car) were superb in the snow. They are also great wet tires and very good in the dry. I was traveling heavily in the Spring and never got around to taking them off. So I ran them all summer and they were fine. They still have plenty of tread left after about 12,000 miles and I will, of course, be running them all this winter. I'll put the PS2's back on in the Spring and then probably get another set of Pirellis next Fall.
